The African American Women’s Speakers Bureau (AAWSB) provides breast cancer education and community outreach to African American women in our local and regional communities.

The AAWSB is committed to increasing breast cancer awareness, early detection of breast cancer and elimination of health care disparities among African American women.

The African American Women’s Speakers Bureau continues to provide workshops, breast cancer education, literature on clinical trials, breast risk assessments, information on obtaining free or reduced mammograms, and most importantly we provide financial assistance to women recently diagnosed.

We are Looking Forward to Making a Greater Impact. . .

We are looking forward to making a greater impact in the Pittsburgh communities providing cancer information and working with other groups such as; The American Cancer Society, The Susan G. Koman Foundation, The Pittsburgh Cancer Institute and the Center for Minority Health at the University of Pittsburgh
